We need presenters!

Starting in April, we've begun having a short presentation before opening for discussion of locations and sharing stories and photos. In April the presentation was about ethics, safety, and equipment; in May, the topic will be photography. It has been a success so far, but to keep it going, we need more people to present. If you would like to talk about something related to urban exploration -- something you've learned, a story to tell, photos to show off, whatever -- let me (Chris) know, and I'll put you on the schedule for the next meeting.

Moving off Meetup.com

Hello PDX UErs! This is an important message for those of you interested in the more traditional definition of urban exploration; that is, exploring abandoned places and the like.

Meetup costs money for the organizer. As this group is free and open to all, we've decided to move it off Meetup. As of May 1, the group as it exists on meetup.com will be the responsibility of whoever decides to pay for another subscription, if anyone. Everyone on the mailing list should get a notification when that time comes.

We are permanently moving announcements and such to pdxue.blogspot.com -- also, the mailing list is now at Google Groups, and you can subscribe at groups.google.com/groups/pdxue. This is where the group will exist from now on.
